The record
The only two dates we claim.
Most company timelines are decorated. This one is not: two dates, stated separately, because they belong to two different businesses.
The family furniture business we grew out of has been making furniture since 1998. That is where the workshop habits came from — but it is not ALEA's age, and we do not count it as ours.
ALEA's own journey began in 2009: modular kitchens and wardrobes, manufactured rather than bought in. That is the date to hold us to, and it is the only one that is ours.
You may still find “25+ years” on an older page of this site. It is not ALEA’s age. 2009 belongs to ALEA; 1998 belongs to the furniture business we came from, not to us. Where two numbers on this site disagree, these are the two dates we stand behind — and you are welcome to hold this page against any other.
What we actually do
We manufacture. We do not place your kitchen with somebody else.
Companies selling modular kitchens fall into two kinds: sellers and makers. A seller takes the order and places the work with a workshop it does not own. A maker builds it. We are the second kind.
Your kitchen is cut, edged, assembled and finished in our own 95,000 sq ft factory at Raipur Rani, Panchkula district. The company that quotes you is the company that builds it, installs it and answers the phone afterwards. Wardrobes are made on the same line.
That is a claim, and claims are cheap — so we would rather you checked it than believed it. The factory door is open, a visit costs nothing and carries no obligation, and you can watch kitchens being built before you spend a rupee.

One address does most of the arguing.

How we price
Rates on the page, not behind a phone number.
We publish a rate per square foot of cabinetry for each collection, and the estimator does the arithmetic for your own kitchen for free. Where your kitchen lands inside its band depends on the finishes, fittings and layout you choose — and your quotation itemises all of it after a free measurement.
Wardrobes are quoted after a free measurement rather than from a published rate, because a wardrobe rate is not something we are willing to print until we can stand behind it.
Illustrative arithmetic, not a quotation — assumes standard base + wall units, about 8 sq ft of cabinetry per running foot, so 12 running feet ≈ 96 sq ft at the published Signature band.
Cabinetry only. Itemised separately: the countertop, the chimney and hob, the sink and faucet, appliances and civil work such as tiling, plumbing and electrical.
What we promise
Four things, and all four are checkable.
Not adjectives. Each of these is either written on your quotation, handed to you as a document, or standing in a building you are welcome to walk into.

How long has ALEA been making kitchens?
ALEA has been making modular kitchens and wardrobes since 2009. The furniture business we grew out of has been making furniture since 1998, which is a longer story but a different one, and we do not add the two together. Where an older page on this site quotes a bigger number, these two dates are the ones to hold us to: 2009 is ALEA, 1998 is the furniture business.
Do you actually manufacture, or do you subcontract?
We manufacture. Every ALEA kitchen and wardrobe is made in our own 95,000 sq ft factory at Raipur Rani, Panchkula district — the same company quotes you, builds your kitchen, installs it and answers for it afterwards. You do not have to take that on trust: a factory visit is free and carries no obligation, so come and watch kitchens being built before you pay anything.
What do I get in writing?
An itemised quotation after a free measurement — every panel, finish and fitting priced line by line rather than as one lump sum — and a 10-year warranty, in writing, handed over as a document rather than promised verbally. What that warranty covers is set out in the written document you receive; ask to read it on your free visit, before you commit to anything. Installation at your home takes about 15 days. We fit Hettich and Blum hardware as standard.
