Every ALEA kitchen is manufactured in our own 95,000 sq ft factory at Raipur Rani, Panchkula district — and the door is open. See the materials, the machines and the Hettich and Blum hardware before you spend a rupee.

A modular kitchen can be sold by a company that never touches it — the order is taken in a showroom and placed with a workshop somewhere else. We are the other kind: our parent firm has been making furniture since 1998, ALEA has been making modular kitchens since 2009 — 17 years of it — and everything we sell is manufactured under our own roof at Raipur Rani, Panchkula district.
That is easy to write and easy to fake, which is why this page ends with an invitation rather than a slogan: come and see it. A factory visit is free, and no photograph argues as well as the floor itself.
A note on the photographs: documentary photography of the shop floor is in progress. Until it is ready, every photograph on this page was taken in our own experience centre — displays you can walk around yourself, not the factory floor, and nothing stock.
What happens here
Six stages, in plain language.
No mystique. This is what happens to a sheet of board between your final design and your fitted kitchen.

Design and measurement sign-off
Before anything is cut, your kitchen is measured at your home and drawn up, and the quotation is itemised line by line rather than given as one lump sum. You sign the drawing off. That signed drawing is what the factory works from.

Panel cutting
Full sheets of board are cut down to the exact panels on your kitchen’s cutting list. Cutting by machine to a list is what keeps every panel square and every repeated part identical — the difference you notice later as doors and drawer fronts that line up with each other.

Edge banding
Every cut edge is sealed with edge banding under heat and pressure. It is the least glamorous stage and one of the most important in an Indian kitchen: an unsealed edge is where steam and spills get into the board, and where cheap furniture starts to swell.

Drilling and hardware preparation
Hinge cups, shelf pins and runner positions are drilled to set positions rather than marked out by eye, and the Hettich and Blum hardware for your kitchen is drawn from stock and prepared alongside the panels it belongs to.

Assembly and finishing
Panels become carcasses, shutters are finished, and hinges and runners are fitted and adjusted here — in the factory, on a bench, not out of a toolbox in your flat. It is why fitting day at your home is fitting rather than carpentry.

Checking, packing and dispatch
Each unit is checked against your order — sizes, finish and the action of the hardware — then packed and dispatched for installation. Anything that is not right is corrected here, where correcting it is easy, instead of in your kitchen after the tiles are on.
Hardware store room
The hardware has a name.
The part of a kitchen you touch fifty times a day is the hinge and the runner. Ours are branded, and you can inspect the stock yourself on a visit.

The paperwork you receive
The warranty is a document, not a sentence.
When your kitchen is handed over, so is a written 10-year warranty. It exists on paper so that in year six you are holding a document, not remembering a conversation.
